The 31 -member committee headed by BJP MP Bhartrihari Mahatab said in its report on Wednesday that their effectiveness is reduced due to imposing GST on these funds. This is the central government’s plan. Under this, every MP is allocated Rs 5 crore per year. This amount can be used in infrastructure development including roads, schools, health services and community assets.
The report on the demand for grant (2025-26) said that the committee has come to know that members have to face many problems on the e-Sakshi portal and need to improve it. The committee has also highlighted serious concerns about the tax administration of the country.
