Government -owned Bank of India said on Tuesday that it had opened 111 new branches to strengthen its position in urban and town centers in the country.
The BOI has opened 17 branches under Hyderabad Field General Manager Office (FGMO), 14 branches under Chennai FGMO, 13 branches under Pune FGMO, 12 branches under New Delhi MGMO and 11 branches under Bhopal MGMO. Apart from this, 10-10 branches have been opened under Chandigarh and Lucknow FGMO respectively.
Rajneesh Karnataka, Managing Director and Chief Executive of Bank of India, said, “This detail has strengthened our presence in major urban and non -urban centers.” This has increased the bank’s network. The goal of the bank is to increase its reach, increase convenience for customers and provide more personal banking experience to customers.
Karnataka said, ‘This initiative is in line with our financial inclusion and contribution to the country’s economy.’ Bank of India had 5,202 branches in the country by December 2024.
