Consumer and retail deals are at the top of three years – Consumer and Retail Deals on Top of Three Years

The country’s consumer and retail sector were recorded the most deals in three years during the first quarter of 2025 in the country’s consumer and retail sector amid widespread bounce in private equity and merger and acquisition activities. This information has been received from Grant Thornton India’s report.

The region completed 139 deals worth $ 3.8 billion which is 65 percent in terms of quantity and 29 percent in terms of value compared to the previous quarter.

The performance made the consumer and retail sector the most active area in terms of volume which was mainly inspired by small-sized transactions shower and two billion dollars deals. Two billion dollars deals were involved in one billion dollars of 10 percent stake in Haldiram by Temasek in one billion dollars. It was the largest packaged food transaction in the history of the country.
