After Temasake, India’s leading snacks and the brand Haldiram Snack Food (HaldiMs) of the food field have also included two new investors-IHC (International Holding Company) and Alpha Wave Global in their current era of equity. In this announcement, the details of the stake sales and the amount of this sales have not been revealed.

PWC said in its release, ‘This strategic move will further strengthen Haldiram’s financial position. The company is intensifying its global expansion plans, especially in the US and West Asia. This investment indicates Alpha Wave Global and IHC’s commitment to support major companies with strong consumer brands.

The release also states that Haldiram will get the benefit of these investors with the investment and network of Alpha Wave Global and IHC and will be able to increase its presence in major international markets like the US and West Asia. And at the same time, it will be able to strengthen its presence in India as well. Earlier, sources had told business standard that Haldiram was considering raising $ 500 million by selling five to six percent stake. It is likely that IHC and Alpha Wave Global together have gained five to six percent stake in this legendary company in the traditional snack sector.

Sources had then stated that Haldiram was talking to Selling Temassake a little less than 10 percent of the company with a $ 10 billion evaluation. The release states that the deal is under regulatory approval and is expected to be completed soon.

The PWC Investment Banking team played the role of Special Financial Advisor for the deal and Khaitan & Company played the role of a legal advisor. The deal was JSA, a legal advisor to Temasake and Alpha Wave Global.
