Aviation company SpiceJet has recorded a consolidated net profit of Rs 20.2 crore in the third quarter of FY 25 and a net loss of Rs 458.2 crore in the financial results of the second quarter. The results of the second quarter have been announced late.
Companies listed under SEBI rules have to present the quarterly results to the stock market within 45 days since the quarter is completed. Companies may delay financial results, but for this they have to give reasons.
The aircraft company’s consolidated net profit was Rs 20.2 crore in the third quarter of FY 25, compared to Rs 299 crore in the same period a year ago. The affordable airline has claimed that it has resolved the payment disputes and has benefited from a decrease in fuel expenditure.
However, in the delayed financial results released in the second quarter, the company has shown an increase of up to two percent on an annual basis in its consolidated net deficit and it increased to Rs 458.2 crore.
The airline said on Wednesday that it has successfully resolved several controversies regarding pending dues with eight companies renting aircraft and four engine companies during this financial year, due to which the dues claim from Rs 1,700 crore from Rs 1,700 crore Reduced to Rs 1,233 crore. As a result, he got a financial benefit of Rs 467 crore.
Apart from this, during the third quarter of the current financial year, the fuel cost of the airline declined by 46.9 percent to Rs 415.2 crore as compared to last year.
