In April, the transaction from Unified Payments Interface (UPI) declined by 2 percent to 17.89 billion, while the transaction declined by 3 percent to Rs 23.95 lakh crore according to the price.

According to the price, it declined by 7 percent to Rs 6.22 lakh crore in April, which was Rs 6.68 lakh crore in March. It was Rs 5.63 lakh crore in February. In April 2025, the transaction from Fastag rose slightly to 38.3 crores, which was 37.9 crore in March. It also increased to Rs 6,801 crore according to the price, which was 680 crores in March. The number of transactions in February was 34.8 crore, the total value of which was Rs 6,601 crore.

The figures of April 2025 are 17 percent more depending on the number and 22 percent more on the price basis compared to April 2024. A daily transaction increased to 127.5 lakh in April, which was 122.3 lakh in March and 137.1 crore in February. It has also increased to Rs 227 crore per day on the basis of price, which was Rs 219 crore per day in March. The transaction from the Aadhaar infined payment system (AEPS) has come down by 16 percent to 9.5 crores, which was 1.13 crore a month ago and 9.4 crores in February. It declined by 13 percent to Rs 26,618 crore in April, which was Rs 30,539 crore in March and Rs 24,410 crore in February. The daily transaction was 31.8 lakhs, which was 36.5 lakhs in March. If compared to the same period last year, AEPS transactions have increased by 2 percent and 6 percent according to the price.
